This project called for rebuilding a two-story deck. We used a combination of cedar,
tigerwood, and Deckorators' aluminum
Architectural Balusters.
We sealed the deck by applying an elastomeric coating, which protects the deck and keeps the first floor
patio area dry.

We remodeled an upstairs master bathroom using Kohler products, including the shower valve, undermount
sink, faucet, tub filler hardware, and shower door. The shower surround and floor were tiled using
marble, while the countertop and backsplash was fabricated using a remnant piece of granite.
The Bertch bathroom cabinet along with stained vertical grain fir added the finishing
touch.

This project involved upgrading the plumbing system in the entire house. We changed all the water
pipes in the house from the water meter by the street, adding a new 1 inch copper water line, a
whole-house filter, a Rinnai on-demand hote water heater, and all new Uponor Aquapex piping. Of course,
we forgot to take pictures of anything but the Rinnai tankless water heater.

This project called for removing the existing forced air heating system and
installing a hydronic heating system. We used a high-efficiency
Buderus Boiler
to produce hot water for both the heating and potable water systems. Hot water for
the house is stored in a
Buderus Water Heater.
The basement and second floor are heated with
Buderus Radiators, while the entire first floor
uses the Wirsbo in-floor heating system.

A family on Capitol Hill was remodeling their house and wanted to add radiators to an existing
boiler system. Our job was to bring radiant heat to several rooms while maintaining the look and feel
of the original home.

A local company makes wood-fired hot tubs made of cedar. The kits come complete with
just about everything you need for installation. We assembled this one for one of our
customers and fell in love. These things are really cool.
They're made by a company called Snorkel. You can check them out at
snorkel.com.

The back porch of this home was falling off. Our client asked us to rebuild the porch and add
stairs on two sides of the new porch. We chose Tigerwood because it is rot resistant,
environmentally sustainable, and very dense, which made it an excellent choice for a family with
animals.

We added french doors to the side of this home, then added a cedar deck. The doors
open out to the deck to conserve space on the interior of the house. The doors
are from Frank Lumber and were
stained at Aerolac before we installed them. The environmentally sustainable
cedar is from Alki Lumber in West Seattle.

We install the
Uponor AquaPex Plumbing System, more commonly known as Wirsbo. (Uponor decided to change the
name from Wirsbo AquaPEX to Uponor Aquapex presumably because it sounds
more sophisticated. The rest of the world hasn't quite warmed up to the new
name just yet.
The benefits of Wirsbo include excellent corrosion resistance, reduced water noise,
and increased heat retention in hot water lines. Another benefit is that the AquaPex
polyethylene tubing passes the
NSF International Certification
for water purity.

This was fun. We had the opportunity to turn a not-so-funtional
basement into a great place to hang out by adding a
cedar sauna,
tilt and turn windows,
a new door, and inexpensive but functional trim and finsh work. Additionally, we framed in all the
ductwork, then drywalled and painted. We ended up with a great space and a happy customer who asked
us back to work on his place a few times since this project ended.

We had a great opportunity to completely remodel a bungalow in West Seattle.
This project included a new Wirsbo plumbing system, a new kitchen
complete with Ikea cabinets,
Paperstone countertops, and
Marmoleum floors. Some of the other features include H & H tilt and turn windows,
cotton insulation,
cedar decks and an Ironwood gate, lanscaping
by Susan at Botanica Designs, and much, much more.

People always look at our website then ask us if we do things like sewer repair. In fact, it's one of
our specialties. We repair existing sewer lines and install completey new ones. Here's a few pictures
we found where we actually took pictures of the repair.
