People often asks us who we recommend for a variety of different product and services. Here's a list of people and companies we've worked with in the past and have grown to trust their products, and more importantly, their advice. You can also check out our resources page for links to some good information. Appliances Direct Buying Service: Whenever we need a stove, refrigerator, washer and dryer, or any appliance for one of our projects we always turn to the folks at DBS. Appliance Repair Appliance Service Station: These guys are good. Call them when you're in that my-washing-machine-is-dead bind that always seems to happen at the worst time. Architects Caron Architecture: We've worked with Radim on a few projects. He's very talented, and he's been able to get things through the city of Seattle quickly. Building Materials Dunn Lumber: Dunn Lumber has many locations throughout the area. They have excellent people behind the counter who are always very helpful and knowledgeble. Dunn's also delivers, which takes a lot of the headache out of getting materials to your jobsite. Environmental Home Center: These guys are good. They have pretty much everything you need for green building. They're helpful and genuinely care about the environment and quality building products. Blackstock Lumber: These guys have high quality building materials. If you need a specific kind of wood, moulding, or millwork we highly recommend Blackstock Lumber. If you're not sure where to get Ironwood decking or that custom moulding, chances are you'll find it at Blackstock. Interior Design HSMac Design: We work closely with Heather from HSMac Design on many of our projects. Whenever someone asks us to help them design their project we send them to Heather. She can help you make your space perfect while keeping within budget by selecting cost-effective materials. There's no substitue for good design, which is why we always count on Heather. You can contact her at (206) 313-7769. Landscape Design Botancia Designs: Whenever someone asks us to help with lanscape design we immidiately punt and send them to Susan. She can help turn any space into something beautiful. Once the design is in place we're happy to lug rocks, make patios, and make your plan a reality. Lighting Rejuve: For period-styly lighting it's hard to beat Rejuve. They have a good website and their store is great becuase many of the lights are hanging around for all to see. Plumbing Supplies Consolidated Supply: The folks at Consolidated Supply have people who are extremely knowledgeable about boilers, Wirsbo, in-floor heating systems, and pretty much everything plumbing. You can call them at (206) 784-0047. They're in Ballard at 805 NW 42nd St. Keller Supply: We're very impressed with the service we get at Keller Supply. Keller offers fittings and tools for the Rehau Pex Plumbing System. Windows and Doors Keystone Windows and Doors: This place is conveniently located in downtown Seattle. The folks are friendly, knowledgeable, and very approachable. They carry quite a few different brands to suit your budget. We enjoy working with these guys. HH Windows & Doors: As far as we're concerned, this is the best window maker in the area. Hannes knows what he's doing. You'll be impressed. Skyline Windows: If you're looking for a good vinyl or metal window at a very reasonable price contact the folks at Skyline Windows. They offer a solid product with excellent turn-around times and great service. We've ordered custom-sized metal and vinyl windows and received them in as quickly as seven days. Frank's Door: If you need a door go to Frank's, a.k.a. The Door Store. They make the process very easy. The store's layout is great so it's easy to view all the different doors. The sales folks are very helpful and know all there is to know about doors. Storage Systems Modern Shed: Check this out. These storage systems are cool. |
