For example, if you want to give the gift of a new kitchen faucet, we provide your new best friend with a custom gift certificate and letter explaining the project along with all the information they need to engage an animal to get the job done. Or, if you'd like, you can purchase a set number of hours and let people choose what project they would like us to work on. You can even choose an allowance for parts. Just let us know your ideas and we'll personalize a gift certificate to meet your needs. What you can expect When you call to purchase a gift certificate we'll ask you a few questions: Are you thinking about a specific project or would you prefer to purchase a set number of hours? Do you want to include a budget for parts? For example, if you would like us to install a garbage disposal would you like us to bring a disposal or ask the customer to provide one? Would you like us to email you the gift certificate, mail it, or hand deliver it? Who is the gift certificate from, and who is receiving it? Would you like us to call the person who receives the gift certificate? If so, when would you like us to call? (We don't want to call before you give it to them.) Once we get all the information we need we create a personalized gift certificate along with a letter and deliver to you or the person you choose. Redeeming a gift certificate Redeeming a gift certificate is simple. The person who gets a gift certificate calls us and schedules an appointment. We send a mechanical animal to their home and get the job done. It's that easy. How does it work? It's simple. You decide on a specific project or a dollar amount and we send a personalized gift certificate to you or the recipient. How long does the process take? Not long. The entire process takes less than 15 minutes for most projects. Larger projects can take more time but in most cases we ask a few questions and get working on your gift certificate immediately. What is the minimum? While there isn't a minimum, most projects require a few hours to complete along with some allowance for parts. How about some example projects? Here's an example for a smaller project: Give the gift of a new kitchen faucet. Purchase a gift certificate for three hours of work plus an allowance for a kitchen faucet. (Feel free to choose one online and let us know.) Purchase a personalized project gift certificate that gives the gift of a new kitchen faucet at a time of the recipients choosing. Here's an example of a medium-sized project: Move that washing machine and dryer! One of our more popular projects is to move a washing machine and dryer upstairs or into a bedroom for easier access. You can purchase a personalized gift certificate to cover the cost of the entire project or part of it. It's up to you. The fine print Personalized gift certificates are good for one year from the date of purchase. We'll certainly nudge people to get their projects done but we do ask that they're scheduled within a year. Gift certificates are transferable. We can't imagine someone giving their gift certificate to someone else but it could happen. That's okay with us. Just let us know and we'll update our records. Gift certificates are non-refundable. |
